We're all set and ready ...

As mentioned in my last post, 5 boats were eligible to run in the consolation heat but only three hit the starting line. Brian Perkins in MEYERS AUTO TECH was given the go to actually be racing instead of being a trailer, but got a little anxious as he jumped the gun. J. Michael Kelly immediately took over for the win and thus will be running in the final heat as the seventh boat, and will be forced to trail the front six at the start. David Williams and LAKERIDGE PAVING finished second, with Perkins third in MEYERS AUTO TECH. SUPERIOR RACING's ignitors didn't light, so Muscatel never left the dock, and MIRAGEBOATS.COM never bothered leaving the trailer.
So, here's the field for the final:
U-16 MISS ELLSTROM ELAM PLUS - ... you know ...
U-37 MISS BEACON PLUMBING - Jean Theoret
U-5 FORMULABOATS.COM I - Jeff Bernard
U-10 TODD HOSS MORTGAGE INVESTORS - David Bryant
U-6 O BOY! OBERTO - Steve David
U-9 MISS CONOVER INSURANCE - Chris Bertram
U-13 SPIRIT OF DETROIT - J. Michael Kelly
